A100 Radio Network Milwaukee partners with two companies to stream a grassroots, live-streamed music festival for mid-April. The world currently exists under a layer of fear. Thousands are infected with COVID-19, entire countries are being quarantined, businesses are closing, and stocks are falling. In the midst of self-isolation and social distancing, the entertainment industry has been hit particularly hard. Tours have been cancelled, sports seasons have been suspended and clubs are ceasing operations as experts earnestly search to flatten the outbreak curve. Despite this devastating blow, two companies are uniting to put on a 2-day, live-streamed music event called Isolation Music Festival. The festival will bring together creative professionals for an immersive, multi-genre festival which will be delivered to fans completely online. This event will provide a platform where artists large and small can perform and chat with new and existing fans while supplementing their lost wages. The event itself will be free, but the two companies have set up a GoFundMe campaign to compensate the artists who are out of work for the foreseeable future. You can contribute to the campaign [here]. (URL - https://bit.ly/2UwQVAZ) We're not taking this lying down. The Coronavirus is changing a lot of things for us, but this is just another opportunity for us to evolve. The most important thing right now is for us to stand together. The Isolation Music Festival team is booking new artists every day, from all over the country. The current lineup includes Wisconsin-based DJ Shawna & DJ JaeBea, Illinois-based Milk Majer, and Florida-based Roman State and JC Carter. The event is being put on by Chicago-based Karben Studios and Orlando-based Dedicated Productions, with video-streaming on Twitch and audio-streaming on A100, available via iHeartRadio.
